Karen Weaver is the mayor of the city of Flint. Professionally, Weaver has held several leadership positions including: director of behavioral services at Mott Children’s Health Center, chief operating officer of Ennis Center for Children, and is currently an entrepreneur and owner of Shea Lavelle Boutique. Mayor Weaver has also served the Genesee County community in a variety of leadership roles including: The Hurley Board of Managers, The Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Priority Children, and NAACP-Flint.rnrnShe has been recognized by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) for helping to bring mental health screening for teens to the Flint/Genesee County area.
