Toyota’s Kristen Tabar: In Mobility Age, Opportunities for Young Talent Are Limitless

Technology with a mission to provide a higher quality of life and aid people to be more mobile is easy to rally around and is an opportunity for the automotive and mobility industry to attract human capital.

During a keynote address at the 2017 MICHauto Summit, Kristen Tabar, vice president of the Technical Strategy Planning Office for Toyota Motor North America, explained how a tremendous sense of energy was created when the company launched its “One Toyota” initiative to bring together affiliate team members across all of Toyota’s organizations, inspiring greater collaboration, innovation and faster decision-making among employees.

“We are really looking for those people who want to build that kind of technology with us, who solve those mobility problems and challenges of the future — specialists in engineering and chemistry, finance, instrumentation, software, anthropology and everything in between,” Tabar said. “Our industry is really changing and we need talented problem solvers, researchers and deployers for all these new technologies.”
