MichAuto is seeking proposals from established internship placement programs that align with our goal of enhancing students’ career readiness. The selected program will support the metric: “Students placed into internships and supported with skills development.” Through this initiative, we aim to connect students with meaningful internship opportunities within the mobility industry while equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce.
Background: MichAuto is Michigan’s only automotive and mobility association, dedicated to promoting, retaining, and growing the state’s signature industry. We serve as a platform for industry leaders and stakeholders to engage in advocacy, discuss industry priorities, attract and retain high-tech talent, and foster an innovation-driven environment for next-generation mobility developments.
As a subrecipient of the GEM initiative, MichAuto is one of 11 partner organizations contributing to the Talent Transformation pillar, led by SEMCA Michigan Works! This pillar focuses on training, reskilling, and upskilling talent to drive wage growth and job retention in the mobility industry.
