Lloyd Jackson

Lloyd Jackson is currently senior news analyst for WJR NewsTalk 760 AM. He returned to WJR in June of 2021 after spending four years as traffic operations manager for WWJ Newsradio 950 and two years as part of Wayne County Executive Warren Evans’ communications team. Before that Jackson spent 22 years at WJR culminating as assistant news director.

Jackson covered city politics and hosted several talk shows including “Ask the Mayor,” “Ask the Governor,” and “The Big Story,” which aired nightly and was an in-depth recap of the day’s big news stories. He’s spent over 35 years in broadcasting.

Jackson is the recipient of numerous broadcast awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the Associated Press, and The Society of Professional Journalist, and while at Wayne County, was named a “Man of Excellence” by the Michigan Chronicle.

Jackson is the single father of three children and the grandfather of four girls.
