Theodore Kozerski is the chief operating officer and co-founder of Detroit Ento, a startup organization focused on turning locally sourced insects into food products. He previously worked for the Detroit Public Schools in the Farm-to-Cafeteria program. In that role, Kozerski helped grow produce on a 2-acre production site to be used in the district’s school lunch program while educating students on agriculture and nutrition. This effort led to a pilot permaculture site that integrated STEM principles for K-12 students with perennial cropping. Kozerski earned his bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Wayne State University.
