The collaboration is well beyond the robotics teams and expands to the business, philanthropic, and civic leadership throughout the state. The sponsor wall highlights a few of the critical partners making this facility a reality. It truly is a community-focused and led initiative to expand hands-on learning that is critical for our industry partners as we work to expand our high-tech talent pipeline with homegrown talent right here in Michigan. This facility would not exist without the vision of Dana and Tom Lockwood, who have invested their entire lives into generating the next generation of talent critical to Michigan’s success.
Hands-on STEM experiences provide Michigan’s next generation of leaders with critical opportunities to develop communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills needed in their future careers. They are also exposed to all aspects of the industry, from engineering, design, and development to marketing, communications, leadership, and other core positions that they can explore to see where they fit in this industry.
MichAuto is honored to partner in making this vision a reality, and the impact is already being made on the students throughout the Region.
