Mayor-Elect Mayor Sheffield’s administration continues to take shape as MichAuto Executive Director Glenn Stevens Jr., Chief Automotive and Innovation Officer at the Detroit Regional Chamber, has been appointed to the Innovation and Emerging Industries Transition Committee.

Stevens brings his industry-wide expertise and MichAuto’s respected reputation as the statewide voice of the automotive and mobility industry to Mayor-elect Sheffield and her team. With his knowledge of and relationships throughout the industry, Stevens has a finger on the pulse of what’s driving Michigan’s signature industry and the role it has in advancing the city, region, and state. He is also leading the Chamber’s work to grow the Region’s innovation economy by connecting six of Michigan’s leading innovation districts to strengthen economic prosperity and global competitiveness.
Stevens has more than 30 years of management, strategy, and operations experience across the automotive, steel, specialty chemicals, and capital equipment industries. For the past 14 years, his career has been focused on serving membership-based organizations, communities, and economic development across Michigan.
He joins the committee with MichAuto Advisory Board Chair Lisa Lunsford and Dug Song, who will serve among its co-chairs. Both Lunsford and Song also serve on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
