The North American Car and Truck Production was steady from Jan. 2019 to March 2020, averaging a total of 1,170,404 trucks and cars each month, with truck production exceeding car production by an average of 615,804 each month. Total production dramatically decreased to 4,840 in April 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions forcing manufacturing facilities and plants to cease nonessential production or shutdown.

In November 2021, truck production increased to 946,166 and car production increased to 228,325 from the previous month. Total production increase to 1,174,491 in November 2021.
