Angela Ayers is the Regional Director of Michigan for the Government Affairs team at Ford Motor Company. She serves as the company’s principal representative with Michigan’s legislature, state government, and industry leaders. She is responsible for helping to shape policy and legislation in Michigan, which is vital to Ford.
Prior to joining Ford, Ayers spent twenty years in government service, most recently as the Director of Policy for former Gov. Rick Snyder. She also served as the Governor’s Deputy Director of Strategy and his Special Advisor on the Environment, where she led policy initiatives in infrastructure and the environment. She previously held the Deputy Director of the Michigan Office of the Great Lakes and Executive Office roles in the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.
Ayers has held various board positions throughout her career and currently serves on the board of the Michigan Manufacturers Association, The Michigan Economic Development Fund, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Outdoor Adventure Center, the Advisory Council of the Great Lakes Leadership Academy, and as a governor-appointed commissioner on the Michigan Community Service Commission.
Ayers earned a Master of Science in Public Policy from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Michigan State University.
