Congresswoman Debbie Dingell represents Michigan’s 12th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives and serves in House Leadership as a co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.rnrnDingell is a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Natural Resources Committee, focusing on issues such as affordable and accessible health care, clean energy and water, and domestic manufacturing and supply chain resilience. She also chairs the Great Lakes Task Force.rnrnShe is a founder and former chair of the National Women’s Health Resource Center and the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).rnrnHer collaborative workstyle also lends itself to bicameral work, such as spearheading the PFAS Action Act with Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI 6), and authoring the Better Care Better Jobs Act with Senator Bob Casey Jr. (D-PA). She is also the co-author of the Medicare For All act and created the Honoring Abbas Family Legacy to Terminate (HALT) Drunk Driving Act in Michigan.rnrnDingell has been named multiple times on Crain’s Detroit Business’ 100 Most Influential Women in Michigan list.rnrnResiding in Dearborn.
