Devin Scillian is an award-winning TV news anchor and the creator and host of Flashpoint, a weekly community affairs program on WDIV-TV in Detroit

Scillian joined WDIV-TV in 1995 as a reporter and moved into the anchor position in 1996. Before that, his career has taken him across the country, from Illinois to Texas and Oklahoma City.

Scillian’s around-the-clock coverage of the 1995 bombing at the Murrah Federal Building helped Oklahoma City’s KFOR win a Peabody Award. Scillian has also won the Edward R. Murrow Award, one of the highest honors in broadcast journalism, three times.

Scillian is the author of 20 books and has won many awards, including the Wanda Gag Award for the nation’s best “read aloud” book. He is also an accomplished musician and songwriter who has won the prestigious Detroit Music Award for Best Country Performer.

Scillian graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas.
