Walter Isaacson

Walter Isaacson is the president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan educational and policy studies institute based in Washington, D.C. He is also the former chairman and CEO of CNN and former editor of TIME magazine.rnrnIsaacson is the author of several biographies, including: “Steve Jobs,” “Einstein: His Life and Universe,” “Benjamin Franklin: An American Life,” and “Kissinger: A Biography.” His most recent book, “The Innovators,” focuses on the people who invented the computer, Internet and the other great innovations of the digital age.rnrnHe is chair emeritus of Teach for America, which recruits college graduates to teach in underserved communities. Isaacson was appointed by President Obama to serve as the chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which runs “Voice of America,” “Radio Free Europe,” and other international broadcasts of the United States. Isaacson is a graduate of Harvard College and Pembroke College of Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
