MichAuto Executive Director, Glenn Stevens Jr., joined Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and Jason Colthorp on Flashpoint to discuss the escalating trade war between the U.S. and Canada. These tensions not only effect the U.S.-Canada relationship economically, but from a national security point of view, so finding common ground here is vital.
“Every minute we spend on this, every dollar we spend on this, is opportunity cost that is lost versus China,” Stevens Jr. said. “That’s another reason we’re taking our eye off the ball here because the competition is not Canada or Mexico, it’s China. And we have to be unified together.”
