Candy Chang

Candy Chang is a renowned urban space artist and designer, whose work has impacted more than 60 counties around the world. A zealot for utilizing public spaces as channels for helping people make sense life, she has created public art projects in places such as New Orleans, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and New York City.

Also a TED senior fellow, Tulane urban innovation fellow and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Chang was named by Oprah Magazine as a “Live Your Best Life” Local Hero. Her additional accolades include being recognized as one of the Top 100 Leaders in Public Interest Design, one of Ad Age’s 50 most influential creative thinkers and doers in 2013, one of the GOOD 100 recipients – an honor bestowed upon 100 people who have moved the world forward through “doing.”

Chang earned bachelor’s degrees in architecture and graphic design from the University of Michigan, as well as a master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia University.
