Garrick J. Rochow is President and CEO of CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary, Consumers Energy, the nation’s fourth largest combination utility.rnrnPrior to his role as president and CEO, Rochow was executive vice president of operations at Consumers Energy. He was responsible for the company’s electric and natural gas distribution and transmission operations, generation and compression operations, operations performance, regulatory compliance, and planning and scheduling.rnrnRochow has also led the customer experience, regulatory, quality, and financial planning organizations at different points in time within his tenure at Consumers Energy. Within the workplace, his commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion has gained the company’s recognition in Forbes as the number one utility for workplace diversity in the U.S.rnrnRochow graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. He also has attended an executive education program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Wisconsin School of Business.
