Jessica Black

Jessica Black is the national vice president of community health for the American Heart Association (AHA), where she works with communities across the country collaborating to achieve improved health and well-being.rnrnPrior to joining the AHA, Black directed the Kids Safe and Healthful Foods Project — a joint initiative of The Pew Charitable Trusts and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation — where she led research, communications and advocacy work focused on improving child nutrition.rnrnBlack’s other past work includes serving as the national director of the Healthy Schools Program for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, the first executive director of the Campaign to End Obesity, and the director of obesity initiatives for the AHA. Black is a registered dietitian and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
