During his tenure, he launched “Children First,” a comprehensive reform strategy that increased high school graduation rates in New York City by 40 percent.rnrnKlein is a former chairman and CEO of Bertelsmann, Inc., a media company, and served as Deputy White House Counsel to President Clinton from 1993 to 1995. He has a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and earned his law degree from the Harvard Law School.
