Darrin Camilleri is serving his first term in the Michigan Senate after three terms in the state House of Representatives. He is the Assistant Majority Leader for the Senate Democrats.
A former teacher and the son of a Latina immigrant from Malta, Camilleri’s policy passions include education, immigration, and the environment. Camilleri comes from a long line of union auto workers and, as such, cares deeply about the future of the automotive industry in Michigan and workers’ rights across all industries.
Camilleri is a first-generation college graduate, earning his degree from Kalamazoo College.
