Steve Hilfinger is a Senior Business Counselor at Foley & Lardner LLP, representing for-profit and nonprofit companies in mergers and acquisitions, finance transactions, corporate and board counseling, and government affairs matters. He has represented automotive suppliers and other manufacturers for over 30 years, helping found the firm’s Detroit office and its Automotive Industry Team and Manufacturing Sector. Hilfinger is currently a member of the firm’s Manufacturing Sector Advisory Board and Co-chair of the Electrified Mobility & Infrastructure and Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
Hilfinger has served on the boards of the Michigan Strategic Fund, Michigan Economic Growth Authority, Michigan Emergency Loan Management Board, Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority, the Michigan Governor’s Talent Investment Board, the Michigan State Treasury’s Investment Advisory Committee, and NextEnergy Center. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business, Administrative, Government, and International Law and the American Bar Association’s Business Law sections.
