MICHauto Annual Briefing

Attendees received an update on what MICHauto has been working on over the past 12 months and engaged in meaningful discussion about one of the most important challenges Michigan and the industry face today – the increasing need for high-tech talent.

The program included industry leaders conveying the business case for significant investment and cross-sector collaboration to attract and retain high-tech talent in Michigan. The event also featured a briefing on the state’s short- and long-term planning to support Michigan’s automotive and mobility industry.

The program closed with a panel discussion on the cross-sector collaboration between business, education, and government to grow Michigan’s high-tech talent base and how the industry can engage in the efforts underway.

State of Automobility

The 2021 State of Automobility provided a timely update on Michigan’s only automotive cluster association’s plans for the upcoming year, offered insight on the future of the automotive and mobility industry, and explored areas where stakeholders can work together to improve and create opportunities. Capitol Conversations

Capitol Conversations: Automotive Impact virtual sessions brings together top automotive executives to meet with legislators for two weeks of digital meetings. Automotive leaders have the opportunity to discuss issues that are critically impacting their companies’ growth, worker safety, and the overall economic health of the industry. Reminiscent of MICHauto’s annual Automobility Day at the Capitol, the Capitol Conversations aims to foster collaboration between industry leaders and the state government. Read the 2020 recap here.

2020 MICHauto Summit: Leading the Global Mobility Revolution

On Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the College for Creative Studies – Taubman Center, the 2020 MICHauto Summit gathered industry leaders and stakeholders to address key industry issues, provided program updates, and released MICHauto’s latest edition of the Michigan is Automobility report.
