Sept. 22, 2023  | MICHauto Statement on the Ongoing UAW Strike

September 22, 2023

MICHauto today issued the following statement regarding the ongoing UAW strike:

Glenn Stevens Jr.

“Ensuring Michigan maintains its global leadership and competitiveness in automotive and the mobility transition is key to our state’s economic future. The UAW workforce and the companies that employ them helped build Michigan and have forged a foundation for our economy. With the competitive forces in North America, globally, and the transition to EVs, now more than ever this relationship must be unified. The current strike is damaging Michigan companies, communities, and our reputation. If this strike continues, and if our companies cannot compete, Michigan’s leadership position, ability to develop and attract talent, and our economy will be at risk.”
