‘JR Morning
Chris Renwick and Lloyd Jackson discuss U.S.-Canada trade tensions with MichAuto Executive Director, Glenn Stevens Jr. The group examines how retaliatory tariffs threaten the stability of the automotive supply chain.
“We’re really not sure what the impact is going to be across all factors, but the biggest problem, I think, is that we’re starting to punch holes into the framework of the USMCA and that’s not a good sign,” Stevens Jr. said. ” The market’s still pretty stable. It’s not robust. It’s not in bad shape, but it’s really fragile. If this keeps going in this direction, there’s just no way that it’s not going to dampen demand. When that happens, it blows back to the supply chain.”
